Mayors and Local administrators.  The office of the Public Independent Concialiator have cautioned regional, city and local administrators, especially mayors to stop forcing council workers to fellow their political views and support their political campaigns. This was during the opening ceremony of a two day seminar organized by PIC at their main office hall upstation, Bamenda this Thursday 27th October 2022. Gender Expert and a staff of PIC Nina Agingi  " We have noticed that mayors involve their staff in campaigns. In this situation where the mayor is removed from the position an incoming mayor might decide to discriminate against those staff who participated in the campaign of the previous mayor and this will be a violation of their rights". Participants  The experiences and role of women and girls during and after conflict is different from what boys and men go through. Women and girls have been targets of war,  constantly subjected to different forms of gender-based violence.   About 20 young journalists in Bamenda chief town of the North West region have been equipped with skills and tools on countering Fake news, Hate Speech, misinformation, Disinformation and reporting issues of child abuse and protection in conflict times.   Women in Cameroon have been called upon to claim their rights and break stereotypes so as to contribute in the economy growth of Cameroon. This was amongst many recommendations made at the end of a panel discussion organised by the Denis and Loretia Foundation this November 30, 2021 in Yaounde under its project to promote Women's Economic Rights, WERC. With theme of focus, "Advancing Women's Liberty for a Sustainable Economic Growth", three panelists identified barriers to women's economic liberty and prosperity in Cameroon and then proposed solutions to tackle these problems. The obstacles to women's economic liberty highlighted include: limited access to education in some localities, limited access to health services, limited access to loans, constraints in justice systems and vulnerable jobs. Workshop Participants and  CPS Coordinators  As part of measures to spread peace through communication, the Civil Peace Service of Bread for the World organized a 5- day workshop on radio drama production on the theme "Radio Drama: A Veritable Tool for the Promotion of Peace".The workshop which was held at the PCC Synod office in Buea brought together 17 CPS partner organizations from all over the country. Opening the training workshop, the representative of the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, the National Peace Coordinator, Rev. Nta William Nche disclosed that the workshop is coming at a time when all avenues have to be exploited to preach peace, and radio drama is one of them. For decades now, gender stereotypes have kept women confined in spaces where they have been told there is only a certain job they can pursue. Most times, there is that face of amazement when a woman is seen in a male-dominated sector like driving, carpentry, and engineering amongst others. Although women have been pushing societal boundaries for ages,  breaking the glass ceiling by entering jobs that were traditionally done by men, the Anglophone crisis seems to have encouraged many to brave the odds.
